Nextgeo Partecipates In WINDEUROPE The International Benchmark Event Dedicated To Wind Power In Addition to the Recent Participation in Oceanology International 2024, the World’s Largest Technological and Scientific Event Dedicated to the Oceans, which Takes Place Every Two Years in London

Naples, 21 March 2024 – NextGeo, a leading international company in the field of marine geosciences and offshore construction support services mainly in the energy sector, with a focus on renewable energies, will take part in WindEurope 2024, the international benchmark event dedicated to wind energy to be held from 20 to 22 March in Bilbao, after having been, from 12 to 14 March, among the stars of Oceanology International 2024, the world’s largest technological and scientific event dedicated to oceans that is held every two years in London.

Two important international reference events, meeting places for insiders to share experiences, evaluate, discover and keep up to date with the latest developments in technology.

For both exhibitions NextGeo chose to set up a special corner with 3D viewers to make it possible for visitors to discover through a true visual immersion the special features of the NG Driller vessel, purchased in 2022 and recently converted with the implementation of a geotechnical drilling system. The new offshore geotechnical drilling vessel (NG Driller) from December 2023 is deployed by the company in the Italian projects to build two floating offshore windfarms, named Hannibal and Scipio, for the customer COP.

The WindEurope event, where NextGeo will be present from 20 to 22 March at Stand 3 – AB 120, is also an important opportunity to learn more about the EU Wind Power Package programme, the European action plan presented by the European Commission in October 2023 and set up to ensure that the transition to greener energy goes hand in hand with industrial competitiveness and that wind power continues to represent a success for which all Europe can be proud.

Giovanni Ranieri, CEO of NextGeo, commented: “Being among the stars of international events of the calibre of Oceanology and WindEurope is of paramount importance for us in order to establish new synergies, expand our network of contacts and engage in networking. These are fixed appointments on our calendar; they are opportunities for getting up-to-date information and discussing with the best players on the evolution of the sector, in particular the energy sector, which is constantly and rapidly evolving. Suffice it to say that the Global Wind Energy Council has defined offshore wind power as a concrete opportunity for the Mediterranean and that Italy in this area represents the third largest market in the world in terms of floating wind development potential”.***
